The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t stopping PR intern Heather Ball from gaining hands-on experience through what has become largely a virtual experience with B2.
Heather has already taken advantage of the opportunities for experience that B2 has to offer. Soon after she started, she helped B2 principal Kyle Parks and B2 partner Brigitta Shouppe to quickly prepare for a public engagement session. And she has been shadowing B2 principals during client meetings.
She also has taken advantage of B2’s educational workshops, which we call “B2 University.” She's asking insightful questions as she learns about topics like how to effectively ask questions when gathering information for a news release or guest column.
Heather recently earned her bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in media communications from Florida State University. She brings significant experience gained at another public relations agency to her PR internship, and she's eager to strengthen her skills in media relations and community engagement.
Before joining B2, Heather was an Account Manager Assistant at BowStern Marketing and Communications in Tallahassee. At BowStern, she assisted with multiple accounts and helped develop strategic marketing campaigns.
She also found time to get involved in the community while at FSU. As a member of Chi Omega, she was heavily involved in fundraising and raising awareness for Make-A-Wish Foundation on FSU’s campus.
Heather knows that her heart is in public relations, and she hopes to pursue a career focusing on public engagement and public policy.
B2 maintains a strong public relations internship program designed to help current students and recent graduates learn skills needed to succeed in public relations. Learn how to become a PR intern with B2 Communications.
