B2 Communications provides internship opportunities to bright, hard-working college students and recent graduates interested in public relations. Each intern is fully immersed in the public relations industry, getting to know select clients and playing a role in the work - with oversight and guidance, of course.
This fall semester, two interns are gaining real-world experience as part of the B2 team.
Alyssa Nieves earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from the University of Florida this past summer. At UF, she was actively involved with the Freshman Leadership Council and served as chairwoman for the student government agency. Prior to joining B2, Alyssa spent two summers interning at Senator Marco Rubio’s Miami and Washington, D.C. offices. Her public sector experience has helped Alyssa quickly become a valuable asset to the B2 team working on the Vote Yes on Greenlight campaign. She drafts news releases, corresponds with the media, conducts research, and photographs special events for the campaign.
Sarah Slagle is a senior at the University of South Florida who is majoring in mass communications and public relations. Sarah previously interned with USF Athletics and the Tampa Police Department where she gained experience in social media, graphic design and media relations. At B2, She assists with USAmeriBank, Aliant Bank, Sunstar Paramedics and the Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House. Sarah creates monthly reports, drafts news releases, and creates content for social media.
B2 is actively recruiting for the Spring 2015 internship program. See more information on our Careers page.
