Co-founder Missy Hurley becomes B2’s CEO

Ownership of B2 Communications, one of the leading public relations agencies in west-central Florida, has changed. Missy Hurley, who co-founded the PR agency in 2010, has acquired co-founder Kyle Parks’ shares of the company. With this ownership change, she has become the agency’s sole owner.

Missy has led the operational and financial functions for the agency, in addition to counseling the firm’s clients in effective communications, over the past 13 years. She’ll move from principal and co-owner into the CEO role.

“Kyle and I built a solid foundation for the agency together. The agency will advance over the coming years,” said Missy Hurley, APR, CEO of B2 Communications. “B2’s next chapter will focus on delivering exceptional communications counsel for our clients, while evolving to address emerging issues, like responsibly using AI in PR.”

Kyle will continue to work in the public relations field. He’s started a communications consulting firm, Parks PR. He remains available to assist B2’s clients with communications strategy as one of B2’s PR network partners. B2's PR network partners are seasoned PR practitioners who work alongside the agency’s staff to bring industry knowledge, specialized skills or additional capacity to clients.

B2 Communications remains committed to working with growth-minded companies in technology, private equity and professional service sectors on strategic communications. The agency is constantly adding to its roster of national and local clients. Most recently, the firm was awarded a public relations contract with Port Tampa Bay in a competitive process.
