Meet our newest B2 intern

Each semester, B2 Communications provides real-world experience to two current students and recent graduates who are pursuing careers in public relations or journalism. Summer intern Jennifer Nesslar began her internship with B2 in May 2014.

Jennifer has a strong foundation in writing, editing and interviewing through her experience as a reporter for The Crow’s Nest, the University of South Florida St. Petersburg’s student newspaper. This foundation helped her write articles for the Baseball Gazette, the Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House's monthly newsletter.

As part of the internship, Jennifer also has assisted B2 in cultivating online communities for Kidz Bite Back, a kid-led and kid-spread campaign for healthy living. The social media channels provide tips, resources and facts on living a healthy and active lifestyle for parents and caregivers. Jennifer creates engaging content for the campaign's Facebook and Twitter pages to build the community and foster engagement.

Additionally, she's completed research projects and coverage reports for Halpern Enterprises and Friends of Greenlight, among other clients.

Jennifer begins her senior year at USF St. Petersburg in August. She'll broaden her journalism experience by serving as the Editor-In-Chief for The Crow’s Nest in addition to her coursework this year.

B2 is actively recruiting for the Fall 2014 internship program. Interested students should view the description and contact Laura Fontanills, APR.
