B2 Communications has welcomed Shannon Burch, one of the top public relations professionals in the Tampa Bay area, to its team. Burch is an agency veteran whose background includes more than 15 years working on integrated communications strategies for companies in a diverse range of industries.
As B2’s public relations director, Burch will apply her strong agency background to drive results for new and existing clients. She provides a wide range of services from strategic planning and project management, to the creation of tailored communications campaigns to fit client needs. She also leads a high-performing team that provides thoughtful public relations counsel that achieves clients’ business goals.
Over the last decade, Burch worked in senior public relations roles at several full-service marketing and communications agencies, including FKQ Advertising and rbb Communications. She was successful in leading integrated campaigns focused around driving paid, earned and owned media reach for brand and product launches, as well as crisis communication efforts using proactive and reactive media relations and content creation strategies.
She has worked with a range of global and national brands like McDonald’s, Marriott, Hertz and Melitta USA, along with clients across technology, tourism/hospitality, retail, nonprofit, and professional services industries.
Additionally, Burch is a member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Tampa Bay Chapter, where she serves on the Membership committee and the Diversity and Inclusion committee. Through her committee work, Burch recently co-founded a job-loss support group that connects regional PRSA members who lost their jobs due to COVID-19 and provides resources and tools to encourage career success in these unprecedented times.
