Dave Scheiber

B2 is proud to partner with Dave Scheiber, who brings a wealth of experience and creativity as a national award-winning journalist, a communications and marketing professional, and co-author of six books. 

Dave has built a reputation in the business as a top-tier storyteller, working for such publications as the St. Petersburg (now Tampa Bay) Times, the Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, FoxSports.com and other outlets. While at the Times, Dave launched and served as founding editor of its Weekend magazine, directing the paper’s arts & entertainment coverage for more than a decade.

Dave has also been a driving force on content teams at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, as Strategic Communications Editor; USF Foundation, as Senior Communications and Marketing Officer; and Pinellas Education Foundation, as Vice President of Communications and Advocacy. 

He now runs his own communications firm, ScheiberStories, working with a wide range of clients around west-central Florida. 

Dave is a past first-place winner of the one of journalism’s most prestigious writing contests – the National Headliner Awards. He was also a member of a Times investigative team nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for a series that won the National Education Writers Association first prize, and a winner for investigative reporting and feature writing in the Associated Press Sports Editors competition. 

He has also co-authored books with former NBA referee Bob Delaney – “Covert: My Years Infiltrating the Mob” (named by USA Today a Best Book of 2008), and “Surviving the Shadows: A Journey of Hope Into Post-Traumatic Stress”; as well as memoirs with philanthropist Frank Morsani (“To Be Frank”); Tampa Bay Rays broadcaster Dewayne Staats (“Position to Win”); U.S. Chamber of Commerce president Dr. Richard Lesher (“Voice of Business”); and entrepreneur Scott Riley (“Zero to 30 Billion!”)
