Social media isn’t the right choice for every business

Social media isn’t the right choice for every business

B2’s Kyle Parks presents to the Medical Group Management Association, Montgomery Chapter.

There’s no denying that social media can be an excellent way to connect with an audience. But for a business, social media may not be for you if your audience isn’t on social media, or if you don’t have the resources to maintain it.

This was a major point as B2 Communications’ Kyle Parks, along with Stamp Idea Group’s Laura Hicks and David Allred, discussed social media best practices for businesses at two recent events in Montgomery, Ala., sponsored by B2 client Aliant Bank.

The Montgomery Advertiser talked with Kyle and Laura about how businesses can gauge whether social media is right for them in a story titled “Experts: Facebook isn’t for everyone.”

One of Kyle’s key points: Developing a strong, engaging website is the first step businesses should take before even considering whether to dive into social media.

Once you have a quality website, analyze the specific needs of your company and decide if using social media is a fit to help grow and engage your audience.
