B2 Communications provides internship opportunities to bright, hard-working college students and recent graduates interested in public relations. Our most recent interns, Sam Raziuddin and Paige Skinner, spent two semesters working with a variety of industries and gaining valuable real-world experience.
Sam joined the B2 team as an intern in August 2013. During his internship, he assisted with various clients including the Ybor City Development Corporation, The Tampa Baseball Museum, and Sunstar Paramedics, as well as large events including the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade and the Valspar Championship golf tournament.
Among the notable projects Sam worked on was Sunstar Paramedics’ “Stay Alert, Stay Alive” public safety campaign. This opportunity showed him what it takes to build a social media presence from the ground up. And as part of his work, he even found himself picking out toys during the Christmas shopping frenzy for a toy safety TV segment featuring Sunstar.
Sam has recently accepted a position as Account Coordinator in the retail department at FKQ Advertising + Marketing.
Paige has been interning at B2 since November 2013, assisting on client accounts including Eckerd College’s Program for Experienced Learners, USAmeriBank, Aliant Bank and Ybor City Museum Society.
During her time at B2, Paige has assisted with the creation and execution of a marketing plan for Eckerd’s PEL and has played a key role in developing a successful Facebook marketing campaign for the program. Paige also got experience in creating reports, planning and writing web copy and testimonials, and interacting with clients in meetings and planning sessions.
