Parks named to economic development council

B2 principal Kyle Parks has been named to the Pinellas County Economic Development Council for a two-year term. The Council serves as a resource to help develop and implement strategies and programs to stimulate economic expansion, trade and investment in the county.

Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, members of the Council are business leaders who have demonstrated leadership in building Pinellas County's economy. Among the organizations represented on the Council: BayCare Health System, Pinellas Education Foundation, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Jabil Circuit, Carlton Fields Jorden Burt, GTE Financial and Catalina Marketing Corp.

Kyle is deeply involved in Tampa Bay area economic development issues as the marketing/public relations chair for the Urban Land Institute’s Tampa Bay District Council. He has extensive experience in business and economic development issues as part of his long career as a reporter and editor for the Tampa Bay Times (formerly St. Petersburg Times).
