B2 begins the New Year with a new Senior Account Executive

Laura Fontanills, APR, who has helped raise the profiles of clients ranging from authors to healthcare institutions to technology startups, is the newest member of the B2 Communications team.

With a proven public relations agency track record, Laura adds upper-level experience to our team in the Senior Account Executive role.

Previously, Laura was an account director at the Common Language public relations firm in St. Petersburg, where she developed and implemented strategic communications plans for a wide range of clients. Laura achieves positive media results for clients by positioning them as leading experts in their fields, by helping with the launch of new products and services, and by promoting major events.

In addition to media relations, Laura has helped clients through community relations, social media and other public relations activities.

Laura graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, and earned her accreditation in public relations last year.

Active in the community, Laura serves as president of Ekhos, a group of young professional female leaders who support each other in their careers and personal development; and as vice president of High Hopes in High Heels, a Tampa Bay women’s charitable organization. She is a graduate of Leadership Tampa Bay and a member of the Public Relations Society of America, Tampa Bay Chapter.

Within her first month at B2, Laura has already demonstrated her skills in media relations, landing both TV and print media coverage for the Krewe of Knights of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade. She has also provided strong support with clients such as Ed Taylor Construction, Ybor City Development Corp., P.J. Callaghan Construction and the Tampa Baseball Museum.
